What does "Certify" My Product Mean?

Our Parent Tested Parent Approved seal certifies to consumers that your product has been tested, endorsed and recommended by their peers. It is a highly trusted and cost-effective way to increase your social proof in order to build trust with your consumers, empower them to choose your brand and buy your product - all that in one seal! Product Submission and Testing

How do I submit my product?

So glad you asked! We evaluate each product prior to submission so click on the certify my product link and please complete the questionnaire. Or contact your sales person for a personal unique link.

I have asked to be invoiced for my submission; will this delay the testing process?

The testing process does not begin until full payment for the submission has been received.<br />

I am not able to ship 15 samples of my product for testing; will my submission still be accepted by PTPA?

Please contact your account executive for assistance, we will figure out a way to make it happen!

Are our products being compared to other brands or individually rated?

Your product is being tested on its own merits. It is not being tested against a competing product.

If my product is awarded the Seal of Approval, how do I access the images of the seal?

Once you have received notification that your product is a PTPA winner, please sign the license agreement. Once the agreement is returned to us, we will email you with the seal images for use on your marketing materials, product packaging and website so you can start leveraging your seal!

What happens if I don’t win?

For starters, you get a 50% refund of your fees. If that wasn’t enough to show you how legitimate our program is, we also throw in the market research we’ve compiled from our testers. Did we mention we are the only awards organization in North America that does this?

How many products are required for testing?

Depending on the value of the product, we will need 15 product samples. Higher value items have a lower sample requirement. Please contact your account executive at the time of submission for exact numbers.

What happens after I submit my product to PTPA for testing and I have made an online payment?

Once you have entered your product into our system and entered your payment (US currency), you will be contacted by a Campaign Administrator with the next steps for product shipping.

Who is testing my products?

You tell us. When you submit your product, you will be asked questions about the ideal target demographic for your product. That’s how we select our testers.<br />

How long does the testing process take? Will I be contacted by PTPA staff during the process with updates?

Once products are received, testing can take between 4 – 8 weeks, depending on the product or service. During this time, you will not be contacted unless there is a problem with your product or service. We do not provide status updates during the testing process.

How will I know if my product has been awarded the Seal of Approval?

Once we have reviewed all the evaluations from the testers, you will be notified of the status of your product submission via email.

I received notification that my product is a PTPA winner; can i issue a press release?

We ask that you do not issue any press releases until after our official campaign announcement.
